Current Activities

PUT A LID ON IT!
Every Wednesday 12pm - 3pm

Organised by Art of Cut & Paste artist Uki Otake. DROP IN and join in the creatively relaxing art of Putting a Lid on It.

Sometimes it’s sewing lids onto shower curtains. Or sometimes it’s Collage - what could be more chilled then sticking little bits of paper to big bits of paper while chatting about nothing in particular, or while peacefully enjoying the calm and quiet of the Pavilion.

Either way - Absolutely no skill or previous experience necessary - Uki will be beside you creating away.

Every TUESDAY evening at 7pm

This band of creative campaigning members meet in the Pavilion to work on their latest projects, chat, share skills, learn a new craft and generally build their crafty community.

Thinking of running your own community event at the Woodfield Pavilion?

We’re always interested in hosting community-based regular activities to bring people to our wonderful space.

What sort of event can you run?
Something that is inclusive, free to run, volunteer-led and fits in with the ethos of the Pavilion being a community space for all.

How often do you have to hold the event?
That’s up to you - it can be monthly, weekly or seasonally!

Examples: We have seasonal walks on the surrounding common highlighting flora and fauna of the season run by Roy Vicary - a local botanist.
We also hold monthly spoken word events for any budding writers / poets / songsmiths (or for anyone who just wants to be in the audience and listen).
There are also regular drop-in art and craft activities as listed below.
