Ever considered being a charity trustee? No? Then let me convince you why it’s worth it!
The Fun reason… It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills while contributing to your local community. You will be able to have a positive impact on this wonderful community space while expanding your knowledge and making new friends, as well as sharing your skills and talents.
The Sensible reason… Being a trustee offers great insight into what's involved in the management of charities and gain skills on working well within a leadership role. It can give you experience of strategy and leadership, and boost your CV. It can also give you experience of being a non-executive director, such as setting a strategic vision, influencing and negotiation, and managing risk.
