The General Election on December 12, 2019 is a chance to elect candidates who will work to preserve our planet. Since 1990, the frequency and severity of droughts, floods, forest fires and storms have doubled due to the climate crisis. The past four years have been the hottest on record - July was the hottest month ever recorded on earth. With these extreme conditions people are being forced to flee their homes - 18 million people were displaced in 2017 alone due to weather-related disasters.
