Explore Agroforestry with Brixton Eco Village at The Woodfield

Explore Agroforestry with Brixton Eco Village

A family friendly, hands-on, day creating designs and models of agro-forests as part of the London Festival of Architecture Project; Brixton Eco Village.

Brixton Eco Village is a community led project bringing together some of the best expertise in regenerative futures to ask the question- if we could start again, how would we build a community that fulfils our eco ambitions and gives Brixton and the local community the best possible quality of life?

This fun workshop at the Woodfield Pavilion will take us on an imagination journey into how we can grow our food. We will be considering what we love to eat, where it comes from, what the impact is, and the new systems that we need to build to enjoy delicious culinary adventures without damaging the soil, the waterways and the air.

What will we be doing?

Learning about food systems and how they currently function.

Thinking about what we want to grow

Designing Agro Forest maps with all our favourite food crops in integrated systems

Making a miniature Agro Forest model that will be part of the London Festival of Architecture exhibition.

This Workshop will be practical and engaging for all ages- with chances to have a taste of garden design, scale drawing, permaculture planning, and architectural model making (think DIY Sylvanian families!!).

There will be refreshments and cakes available to buy on the day
