A gentle introduction to indigo dyeing; get the chance to experience the magical process that is indigo dyeing!! The surprise happens when the fabric is removed from the dye bath, turning from yellow to green to blue before your eyes.

Dye a couple of squares to get to grips with the process, then learn a simple tie dye technique that you can apply to a canvas bag to take home and treasure.

The natural indigo is derived from the Indigofera tinctoria plant, sourced near Pondicherry in India, where Emma spent time during 2011/2012 learning about indigo dyeing and local textile craft techniques.

Tickets £5 - available on Eventbrite. Children free with fee paying adult.

All materials are included - you may want to bring some rubber gloves and wear something you don't mind getting stained!
