Choose from the many fabrics on offer, or bring a few pieces of fabric/clothing that mean something to you. We will begin by carefully selecting fabrics before starting the slow process of piecing them together, whilst reflecting on our experiences of motherhood/parenthood* (either privately or with the group, no pressure to share), and how we might connect back with ourselves through the piecing together of our patchwork.

(Open to all mothers and parents including expectant parents, grandparents, parents of babies and older children, and those who identify as such, every person’s story is welcome)

Aimed at all levels, no experience necessary. A few basic stitches will be taught to get you started.

Run by Emma McGinn; textiles practitioner, teacher and current Woodfield Artist-in-Residence.

£5 per person (This is an adult focused group, however children are very welcome, there is a box of toys, also feel free to bring anything they might need)

Tea/coffee included
