TEDI-London’s second year engineering students have been working with the Woodfield Pavilion and CREW Energy on concept designs for a zero carbon community building.
The Woodfield Pavilion sits in a lush corner of Tooting Bec on the Lambeth-Wandsworth border and has been hosting energy cafes and big green days for local people. The Woodfield team get so many questions and concerns about keeping energy bills down, staying warm and being green so TEDI-London students have been learning about the technology and how to explain it to each other.
At this event, student teams will be screening their 3minute films on these technologies and engaging in a Q&A.
TEDI-London delivers a project-based engineering curriculum where students can have a meaningful impact on the world around them. Students work on real-life challenges and co-design solutions with our partners and we work together to align projects with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
The Woodfield Pavilion (TWP) engages with and celebrates the diversity of its local community and natural environment, promoting health and sustainability in everything it does. The pavilion is a 'go-to hub' for people to share in art, culture, festivities, ideas, learning and well-being. Our aims include: providing a safe space for training, learning, recreation and leisure; promoting green initiatives and the appreciation of the natural environment; protecting and enhancing the natural environment of the Woodfield Ground; actively engaging with local people and community groups; and actively extending the benefits of Woodfield to vulnerable and socially excluded people in our community.
Refreshments will be available - proceeds go to support the Woodfield Pavilion
