WORDS @ THE WOODFIELD - Poetry, Spoken Word and Music Acoustic Open Mic
The Woodfield Pavilion is delighted to present
Words @ The Woodfield!
An Open Mic for Music, Poetry and performers of all kinds. It will take place on Wednesday April 24th at The Woodfield Pavilion
2 days after Earth Day, poets will be finding their feet to the woodfield pavilion once more.
It is only right that this time, poets will be bringing verses dedicated to the Earth herself, in praise and in willing of her regenesis.
Bring your best ecopoems, odes to nature, Gaian offerings and let us reenchant ourselves with Earth’s magic and mystery, for an evening of togetherness and inspiration.
If nature based poems aren’t your bag, then any sharings which can help ‘ground’ us back to our senses are most welcome.
See you in the Woods!
Please arrive at 6:45 at the very latest so we can start promptly at 7! So many wonderful performers to fit in.
The venue is a versatile community centre connected to Tooting Common. It provides a unique performance space, and, thanks to our on-site kitchen, delicious veggie food will be available to buy for a small donation. Delicious Food available! THIS TIME ITS BYOB!!!
We provide a welcoming, safe environment for first time performers and veteran wordsmiths alike. We would love you to come and share the space with us to celebrate local talent.
